A PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR
Eternal God, thank you for bringing us once again to the threshold of a new year. Help us dedicate each day of 2013 to following your will for our lives. Guide us, Lord, in all our decisions and actions, day by day and hour by hour. Help us accomplish all that you desire for us to do, until our mission on earth is finished. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The bereavement committees are updating their volunteer lists.  Would you be willing to help with funeral luncheons and/or provide a salad or cake?  Please call Bonnie Crook at 828-8750 (ok to leave a message) and tell how you are willing to help.   Bless you for your contributions!

Thank You!  The generosity of our congregation in sharing God’s gifts has been beyond measure!   2 Corinthians 9 12-15  12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God … 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you.  Thanks to everyone with a hand in making it possible for FUMC to pass out 45 Christmas food baskets providing a Christmas dinner to more than 234 family members in our community.  This is in addition to our Christmas Day dinner.

The family of Ted Dykstra would like to thank all of our church family for love and caring that you showed to us during this difficult time.  A special thanks to Pastor Lane, Vicki King, and the UMW for your services.  Words cannot express how much your support has meant to us.
