THIS WEEKEND

CHILDREN’S CHURCH at 9:30 in WFH following Children’s Time.

HEIFER PROJECT Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.   By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self reliance and hope.   A special collection is taken the fourth weekend of every month.

NEW THIS WEEK!

THANK YOU
Thank you all for cards, concerns, prayers, and memorials in remembrance of Doris Werts.  Also, for the help moving and getting things ready for the sale.   George Werts and family

Thank you to everyone who helped with Fiesta VBS.

Please join in the fight to work toward a day when malaria deaths are no longer a normal part of life in Africa.   Please join us in this fight as we work toward a day when malaria deaths are no longer a normal part of life in Africa.   Please join us in this fight as we work toward a day when malaria deaths are no longer a normal part of life in Africa. Please join us in this fight as we work toward a day when malaria deaths are no longer a normal part of life in Africa.

RAGBRAI THANK YOU
A big thank you to our organizing committee (Park, Donna, Kay & Pat) and everyone that helped with our RAGBRAI dinner!  We heard many compliments from our guests.  We had 900 meals served and a sellout of all of the food.  We couldn’t have done it without all the donations and volunteers, including setup, tear down, and servers.  Thanks again to all who contributed!   What a great success!

RAGRBRAI VOLUNTEERS UPDATE
Please check the RABRAI worksheet at the window of the church office to see if the time schedule for you is correct.  Know that when working, sandals cannot be worn and shirts must have sleeves.  We will furnish hairnets and plastic gloves.  Also, check the job assigned.  If it is something that you don’t feel you can do, please let Kay Jensen, Dona Otto, or Pat Haning know so that it can be changed before that day.  Some have asked if they can come during the day even though they have not signed up and that is fine as we will have tasks occur that we can fit you in to.  We have had a good response for pie donations and should have plenty.  Thanks to everyone for your willingness to help and contribute in all the ways that will make this day a success.
