NEW THIS WEEK!

THANK YOU
We just got Cheryl’s biopsy results and it came back negative!  I need to thank everyone at FUMC for all their prayers and well wishes.  I will be a witness, PRAYER DOES WORK!  God bless, Brian

Thank you to all who contributed to Imagine No Malaria!  The VBS kids brought in $381.38, the congregation donated $370, and the UMW donated $500 for a grand total of $1251.38.  Thanks for doing your part to join in the fight as we work toward a day when malaria deaths are no longer a normal part of life in Africa.

video tour of the life of Jesus Christ as He travels through the Holy Land
Join us in West Fellowship Hall for a two part video tour of the life of Jesus Christ as He travels through the Holy Land during His ministry.  Part one will be at 10:15 after church services August 18th and part 2 at 10:15 after church services on September 1st.  Travel with Adam Hamilton as he retraces the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.  Once again, Hamilton approaches his subject matter with thoughtfulness and wisdom.  Using historical information, archaeological data, and stories of the faith, Hamilton follows in the footsteps of Jesus from his baptism to the temptations to the heart of his ministry, including the people he loved, the parables he taught, the enemies he made, and the healing he brought.

GOSPEL GOULASH
Gospel Goulash will be singing at the Columbia UMC on Sunday, August 25, at 10:30 a.m.  The quartet is composed of Geoff Shultz, Tim Gotta, Judy Paulsen, and Chris Overgaard.  If you like Gospel, you’ll love Goulash!  Following the performance, at 11:30, everyone is invited to a brunch at the Columbia Community Center.
