THIS WEEKEND

SUNDAY - SPECIAL CHURCH COUNCIL MEETING
There will be a special church council meeting on Sunday, December 12th at 11:50a following second church service to take action on the 2011 budget.

SUNDAY at 5:00 p.m. will be the Children and Youth Christmas Program with potluck dinner immediately following in West Fellowship Hall. Please bring a covered dish for the potluck. Drinks and table service will be provided.

SUNDAY is Cinnamon Roll Sunday.

THIS WEEKEND is Food Donation weekend. Please be a part of this wonderful ministry by dropping off your canned goods and/or other nonperishable items in the basket in the Narthex.

HEIFER INTERNATIONAL
Heifer International gratefully recognizes Knoxville First United Methodist Church with a certificate for participating in the Animal Crackers program. Because of your contributions, families struggling with hunger and poverty will receive the gift of healthy animals and training in their care. Thanks for making a meaningful difference in the world. The thank you certificate is on the bulletin board outside the main office.

CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE
Gifts for the giving tree need to be returned to the church office by December 15 with the tags attached. Contact Beverly Sterling if you have questions at 842-5286. Your generosity has been greatly appreciated.

DECEMBER 24TH CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES
7:00 P.M. service will be a dramatic presentation of the birth of Jesus as experienced by the eyewitness. 11:00 P.M. service will be the traditional service of lesson, carols, and Holy Communion. Both services will conclude with lighting of the Advent candles and singing of Silent Night.

PRESCHOOL CHRISTMAS
PROGRAM
The annual MSPS Christmas Program will be held on Thursday, December 16th at 9:00 am. A short reception will follow the program at 10:00am in WFH.

MSPS SUNDAY
Come sing with the MSPS students on Sunday, December 19th at either the 8:30 or 10:45 service. Students will be in attendance on this morning and will sing a couple of their Christmas songs.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS DAY DINNER
The Community Christmas Potluck Dinner will take place on December 25th at noon. This year we are asking for cook helpers, servers, and cleanup. Food supplies are needed to feed 100 guests. Cash donations would be appreciated. If you would like to donate, mark a “Love” offering envelope Christmas Potluck.

We are family friendly with a well equipped nursery, a full play room, and bathroom for your use. Please feel free to use our family oriented nursery. These areas are sound proof from the sanctuary, but you can turn on the speakers and hear the service if you would like. Large print bulletins are available for the 8:30 service.
