CALL TO PRAYER  “There Is the Spirit’s Entry Now”   #608
This is the Spirit’s entry now:  the water and the word, the cross of Jesus on your brow, the seal both felt and heard.

PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS (All Join In)
Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace.  Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon.  Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope.  Where there is darkness, light.  Where there is sadness, joy.  O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand;  to be loved, as to love.  For it is in giving that we receive.  It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.  Amen.

THANK YOU
My family and I want to thank everyone for their prayer, cards, gifts and memorial contributions on the passing of my father Lester Riggle on June 17th. I also want to thank those that covered for me during my bereavement leave and filled the pulpit during that time; thank you Phyllis, Joyce and Pastor Brent. We felt all of your prayers and so appreciate your care! God is good!  Pastor Lane and Family

I want to thank everyone who sent cards for my 85th birthday as well as everyone who wished me a happy birthday.  I am truly blessed.   Edna Poortinga

There are never enough words or thank you to express ones feelings for all the great fellowship of our Church.  Your prayers, cards, phone calls and words of concern have helped greatly to get me through the rough road of my health issues. I know you will be there again when needed.  Thank You to Pastor Lane for special prayers, visits and being with Cora during my surgery. Sam Rathmel

The F.U.N. committee greatly appreciated all the support we received for Ag in the City.  Thanks for donating the delicious pies and all our brothers and sisters for helping set up, serving the meal, and cleaning up afterward.   We cleared around $900 which will be used to fund outreach programs of the Church.

Thank You and God Bless!
Thank you for rewarding me with the First United Methodist Church Scholarship!  I greatly appreciate your support in helping me pursue my education!  Sincerely, Dana Haselhuhn

A big thank you to everyone who helped with our Summer Party as well as VBS 2012!

Thanks so very much for contribution of $155 for the Ludhiana Christian Medical College and Hospital. Your gift will be used to bring healing and wholeness to the very poor people who are served by the hospital and will also be used to enable nursing students from poor Christian families to receive training to serve as health professionals.  Many will be the first of their families to receive this kind of education.  Thanks again for your gift.  Max Marble, Office of Creative Ministries
