THIS WEEKEND
Scout Sunday: First United Methodist Church has been the charter organization for Knoxville Pack 362 for over 60 years! The Boy Scouts of America annually celebrates its founding on February 8, 1910. Added in the middle 1940s, the Scout Sunday tradition was started to make people in houses of worship aware of Scouting, and to allow Scouts to live out their "Duty to God" pledged each week. The Scout Law says that a "Scout is Reverent" and the Scouts of all ages promise to do their "Duty to God". These values strengthen youth character in their family, community and faith. Thank you all for your support!
Food Donation: The second weekend of the month is food donation weekend. Please be a part of this wonderful ministry by dropping off your canned goods and/or other nonperishable items in the basket in the Narthex.
