Native American Ministries Sunday - Native American Ministries Sunday is one of the six church wide Special Sundays of The United Methodist Church. Native American Ministries Sunday nurtures mission with Native Americans and provides scholarships for United Methodist Native American seminarians.

NEW THIS WEEK!

CALLING ALL MEMBERS
In our baptism vows we say yes to Jesus in our lives and commit to service in his name in the world. In response to study and prayer our Board has approved a new ministry action plan. As part of this plan we are organizing in a new way how to go about fulfilling our ministry together. Every other month we are gathering as community to plan ministry events. These gathering are for the whole congregation, members, constituents, anyone that wants be a part of the church’s efforts at sharing the joy of Jesus with our world. The first of these gatherings will be this coming Monday April 15th in the fellowship hall 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome and all are needed! We will spend a joy filled hour organizing, training, planning and filling up with the Spirit Power.  Look forward to seeing you!  Pastor Lane

FUMC AT HELPING HANDS

It is that time of year again when the Education Cluster gathers the names of all graduating high school seniors.  If you are or know someone within our church that will be graduating in May please let Heather in the office know so that we can make sure we have the entire list.

FUNDRAISER SPAGHETTI DINNER
Spaghetti dinner with salad, bread, and drink for $6/meal on Friday, April 19 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at Knoxville First Presbyterian Church with funds raised going to the general fund.

FUMC AT HELPING HANDS

April is FUMC’s month to help with grocery assistance at Helping Hands Food Pantry.   On April 8 and April 22 volunteers are needed AT 9:00 AM (PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE IN START TIME AS THE TRUCKS ARE ARRIVING EARLIER AT 9:15) Helping Hands.

PRESCHOOL CATALOG FUNDRAISER  
The annual preschool catalog fundraiser will be available to order from on the table outside church office.  Everything from snacks and goodies to spring flowers for your garden.  Orders are due by Friday April 12.

2013-2014 CHURCH SCHOLARSHIP FORMS
Church scholarship application forms for the 2013-2014 school year are available in the church office window ledge.  Please complete and return the form to the office by April 15th for consideration. 

KNOXVILLE COMMUNITY CHORUS
The Knoxville Community Chorus will be performing their annual spring concert on Sunday, April 14th from 3:00-4:00 p.m. in the sanctuary with a reception and refreshments following in WFH.
