Communion – The United Methodist Church has an open communion.  All are invited to join in the celebration of God’s love!

Neighbor Helping Neighbor - A special collection is taken the first weekend of every month.  These funds go through the Neighbor Helping Neighbor office to help community needs.   Please mark your check memo and/or envelope to identify this purpose to contribute.

NATIONALS PANCAKES
The Nationals pancakes at the armory is asking for our help again.   Sign-up sheets are available on the table in the church entry way.   Call Kay Jensen with any questions at 641-842-5325. 

RIDE NEEDED
An individual is in need of a ride to Saturday services on a regular basis.   If you are willing to provide this transportation, please contact the office to receive the specific details. 

VOLUNTEERS TO UPDATE RECORDS
Volunteers are needed to update paper copies of the church membership records during daytime hours.  Please contact the church if you would be available to do this anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday.  Thank you. 

IN HIS STEPS BOOK STUDY
There is still room for others to join.  Please contact Pastor Lane if you are interested in joining.  Our next scheduled meeting for “In His Steps” book club is:

Mark your calendars now for a special weekend! To kick off our Sunday school year we will be having a joint Sunday service on September 9th at 9:30 am.  Come for a special service full of music from Central College’s Flying Pans followed by food and activities on the lawn.

Heifer Project Offering:   Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth.   By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self reliance and hope.   A special collection is taken the fourth weekend of every month.
