Deb Harvey will be walking in the Crop Walk representing First United Methodist Church.  If you would like to donate/pledge, a donation envelope is located on the shelf outside of the church office.

UNICEF Party/Trick or Treating on Sunday 3:00-6:00 in WFH/Youth
UNICEF donations go to a wide variety of programs, including those to provide emergency aid, medicine, shelter, blankets, water, etc.  If you are interested in donating, please indicate UNICEF in the memo of your check line.

At the end of the Sunday services, a preschool video will be shown.

THANKSGIVING MISSION BASKETS
For those of you wishing to contribute money towards the Thanksgiving Baskets for the needy, please indicate this on your Love Offering envelope.   This year, $28, will provide a meal for a family of 6.   This year we will be feeding 30+ families (with a total of 150 people).

Individuals are needed with digital cameras to volunteer to take quick snapshot before and/or after services for our new electronic directory.  If you are able to help out with this, please contact the church office.

RICHARD BLACKABY CONFERENCE AT VERMEER PAVILLION
Dr. Blackaby will help you learn how to move your life, family, church, and those you lead on to God’s agenda.   The first event will take place on Nov. 2 at 7:00-8:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. The second event will be held Nov. 3 at 8:30-4:00 in which registration is required with a cost of $35.  Both events will take place at the Vermeer Global Pavilion.

Cokesbury will be holding a 25% off storewide sale November 10-12.

NEW THIS WEEK!

TRICK-OR-TREAT FOR UNICEF
All children ages 3 to high school are encouraged to come to the UNICEF Party on Sunday, October 30 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. in West Fellowship Hall.  Anyone wishing to donate to the UNICEF program will be given the opportunity on Sunday, October 30.  The kids will be going around town during the party to collect donations as well.  Contact Katie Bishop or Erika DeGeest if you would like more information or would like to help with this fun event.

HOAGIE PICKUP
If you ordered hoagie sandwiches through the MSPS fundraiser, they may be picked up on Wednesday, October 26 after 6:00 p.m.

F.U.N. COMMITTEE
F.U.N. Committee will meet October 30 at noon in WFH.  Anyone interested in joining the F.U.N. Committee are invited to this meeting.  Children are also welcome!  Free lunch provided!

DISCOVERY GROUP MODERATOR LEADER MEETING
The meeting has been rescheduled to Sun., October 30 at 1:30p EFH.

CROP HUNGER WALK
Join CROP Walk on Sun, Oct 30 at KHS.   Walk 3.1 miles or 1 mile to fight hunger in Knoxville and around the world.  Run, walk, bring your dog…wear your Halloween costume if you want to!  We’ll gather at 2 p.m. at the high school commons and step off at 2:30 p.m.   Proceeds benefit Helping Hands and Church World Services global efforts.   Come with your friends and family or ask them to sponsor your walk.   Please contact Deb Harvey for more information or to donate.
